Core Seminar Weeks

Academic Year 2024/2025

September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025

The core seminar weeks are mandatory for all PhD students of the IMPRS LSHO. PhD students are expected to attend the seminars during their first year. In exceptional cases (e.g. field work) PhD students may attend the seminars during their second year.

In 2024, they are planned to take place in November and cover the following topics: 

- Molecular Anthropology

- Human History, Evolution and Ecology

- Language, Culture and Cognition

A detailed programme and information on ECTS will be made available in due time. PhD students may obtain up to 3 ECTS.
