Core Seminar Weeks

Academic Year 2025/2026

October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026

The core seminar weeks are mandatory for all PhD students of the IMPRS LSHO. PhD students are expected to attend the seminars during their first year. In exceptional cases (e.g. field work) PhD students may attend the seminars during their second year.

They take place from November, 3 to November, 21 2025 and cover the following topics: 

- Molecular Anthropology

- Human History, Evolution and Ecology

- Language, Culture and Cognition

PhD students may obtain up to 3 ECTS.
